Job Description

Hiring: Research Assistant / Research Associate — Cancer Biology & Epigenetics (UTHSCT, Tyler, TX)
Our lab studies cancer biology, inflammation, thrombosis, and chromatin/epigenetics.
Job duties: run molecular/biochemical/functional genomics experiments, document data, support inventory/ordering, and perform mouse experiments, including genotyping, breeding, etc.
Qualifications: BS/MS/PhD; skills in cell culture, PCR/qPCR, Western/IF; strong organization skills and mouse experience.
Preferred: NGS (RNA-seq/ATAC-seq/CUT&RUN), CRISPR, flow cytometry, and confocal
Title & compensation: set as Research Assistant (BS/MS; 0–1 yrs) or Research Associate (MS/PhD or ≥2 yrs directly relevant experience) based on education, skills, and demonstrated independence.
