Job Title: Inventory Manager

Location: Greenarray Genomics Research and Solutions, Kothrud, Pune

Job Summary:
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and optimizing the laboratory’s inventory of reagents, consumables, kits, instruments, and other laboratory supplies. This role ensures accurate stock levels, timely procurement, efficient storage, and compliance with laboratory quality and safety standards. The Inventory Manager will work closely with procurement, finance, quality assurance, and scientific teams to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures for laboratory consumables, reagents, and equipment.

• Monitor stock levels regularly to prevent shortages or overstocking.

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and procurement teams for timely replenishment of materials.

• Maintain accurate inventory records using LIMS/ERP or inventory management software.

• Ensure proper storage of reagents and consumables as per manufacturer and biosafety requirements (e.g., temperature-controlled storage).

• Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.

• Implement cost-control measures while ensuring uninterrupted lab workflow.

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure compliance with ISO, NABL, and other relevant accreditation standards.

• Track shelf-life and expiry of reagents, ensuring proper usage or disposal as per biosafety guidelines.

• Prepare inventory reports and share with management for decision-making.
• Train and supervise support staff handling inventory and stores.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Proven experience (1-2 years) in inventory, supply chain, or laboratory operations (preferably in a diagnostic lab).
• Strong knowledge of laboratory consumables, reagents, and equipment.
• Familiarity with LIMS/ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to negotiate with vendors and manage supplier relationships.
• Understanding of laboratory quality standards (ISO 15189, NABL, CAP) is an advantage.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
