Job Opening: Manager/Scientist – Cancer Immunotherapy

🎉 My team is expanding again! We’re looking for a highly motivated, emotionally intelligent individual with a strong background in cancer immunotherapy, particularly in tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) biology, cytokine biology, and immune-oncology.

💊 This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, innovation-driven Discovery team pushing the boundaries of cancer therapeutics.

📌 Location: Toronto, Canada (Only applicants legally eligible to work in Canada will be considered).

✅What You’ll Do
– Independently design, develop, and troubleshoot complex in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo (small animal) experiments.
– Oversee and manage studies conducted at contract research organizations (CROs).
– Adapt quickly in a dynamic environment where priorities shift frequently.
– Maintain timelines and ensure high-quality scientific deliverables.
– Contribute to team innovation by staying up to date with cutting-edge research and technologies in immuno-oncology.

✅Who You Are
– Hold a PhD in immunology, cancer biology, or a closely related field.
– A self-starter and critical thinker with a proven ability to work independently and efficiently.
– Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and flexible.
– An effective communicator, active listener, and skilled at conflict resolution.
– Able to write professional reports and create publication-quality figures, graphics, and statistical analyses.
– Someone with high emotional intelligence, empathy, and a solution-oriented mindset.

✅Required Technical Expertise
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with:
– Flow cytometry, ELISA, potency assays and efficacy studies
– Organoids and organ-on-chip models
– Orthotopic/syngeneic models and humanized mouse models
– Pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD)
– MTD and toxicity studies

✅ Nice to Have
Experience with:
– AI/machine learning tools for high-throughput data analysis
– Antibody design, protein purification, and binding assays
– Cell-based therapies
– Candidate optimization and combination strategies
– Handling CDAs, MSAs, and working with intellectual property
