WOTR is inviting applications for research associate positions at Pune, Maharashtra.  These roles offer an opportunity to contribute directly to rural development and climate-resilient livelihoods while working closely with local communities.

1. Research Associate – Ecology
📌 Minimum 5 years’ experience (with masters) OR PhD

The candidate will support a team for action/applied research projects. They will develop training modules for communities and practitioners. Applicants should have strong writing skills in developing research publications as well as science communication materials for wider audiences.

2. Research Associate –  Economics of Natural Resource Management (NRM)
📌 Minimum 5 years’ experience (with masters); 1-3 years (with MPhil); PhD with 1 year of experience

The candidate will lead research on the economic dimensions related to natural resource management, climate change and rural development. Applicants must be well-versed with quantitative techniques like cost-benefit analysis as well as in econometric software like R.

3. Research Associate – Gender and Climate Change Adaptation
📌 Minimum 5 years’ experience (with masters); 1-3 years (with MPhil); PhD with 0- 1 year of experience

The candidate will design research studies and help develop sampling and research methodology strategies.. They will design and conduct training and capacity building events focusing on gender and development
