Our Human Microbiome Research Lab (HMR Lab) under Dr. Souvik Mukherjee in National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani is inviting applications for Project Associate-I (Wet Lab & Dry Lab) positions under the Diabetic Retinopathy Microbiome Study – India (DRMS-India).

This project focuses on exploring the gut–retina axis using whole metagenome sequencing, host genomics, and advanced molecular biology approaches. A fantastic opportunity for young researchers interested in human microbiome, data analysis, and translational genomics.
🔬 Roles Open:
Project Associate-I (Wet Lab)
Project Associate-I (Dry Lab / Bioinformatics)
🧪 Key Skills (depending on role):
Human & microbial DNA/RNA work, PCR/RT-PCR, sequencing
Shotgun metagenomics, 16S analysis, FASTQ-to-report pipelines
Python/R/Linux, data interpretation, pipeline development
