Position: Technical Position in NGS and Diagnostics laboratory

Total Emolument: Based on educational qualifications and experience

Technical Positions in NGS and Diagnostics laboratory for Genome Analysts and Library preparation experts

A temporary technical position on outsourcing basis is available at Diagnostics Division and NGS laboratory at CDFD, a full service clinical diagnostic laboratory at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad, an autonomous organization funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The laboratory provides cutting edge genetic and genomics tests especially in the field of mendelian genetics. The position requires the candidate to engage in wet lab and computational laboratory activities involving next generation sequencing. The candidate should be efficient at acquiring new technical skills and driven to analyse clinical cases running through pipeline in a timely manner. Additionally, the position will require wet lab bench work as well as work related to quality control and laboratory accreditation.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
M.Sc/PhD with experience in NGS laboratory in library preparation for exome/genome sequencing, transcriptome, microarray CGH etc, handling of Next generation sequencer as well as analysis of exome sequencing data in patients with genetic diseases

Key Responsibilities:
1. DNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing in NGS laboratory
2. NGS and Array CGH data analysis and interpretation
4. Training of students/clinicians in genetic diagnostics
5. Laboratory test quality control and laboratory accreditation
6. Writing draft clinical reports
