Job Title: Bioinformatics Scientist (5–7 Years Experience)
📍 Episteme Genomics, Location- Hyderabad

At Episteme Genomics, we are expanding our genomics capabilities and looking for a skilled Bioinformatics Scientist to join our growing team.
If you’re passionate about turning sequencing data into meaningful biological insights and enjoy building robust pipelines, this role is for you.

Must-Have (Core Requirements):
Hands-on experience with:
• Short-read sequencing data analysis (Illumina or equivalent)
• Long-read sequencing data analysis (Oxford Nanopore / PacBio)
Strong ability to develop and manage bioinformatics pipelines independently
Experience with standard tools for:
• Sequence alignment
• Genome assembly & polishing
• Variant calling
Ability to handle large datasets and ensure data quality, reproducibility, and documentation Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Experience in client communication and scientific reporting

Advanced / Specialized Skills (Highly Preferred) Experience:
Working on complex, non-standard bioinformatics problems
Ability to design custom pipelines for research-driven or client-specific needs
Exposure to host–vector interaction analysis
Exposure to cell & gene therapy bioinformatics workflows
Understanding of regulatory or QC workflows in genomics
Experience in viral/bacterial contamination analysis from NGS data
Strong understanding of
• Germline and Somatic variant analysis,
• Structural variations (SVs) and
• copy number variations (CNVs)
