Role Overview
We are looking for a Bioinformatics professional with mandatory expertise in proteomics and metabolomics data analysis, along with strong capabilities in Gene Ontology (GO) and pathway analysis to derive meaningful biological insights from high-throughput omics datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Perform analysis of proteomics and metabolomics LC-MS/MS datasets.
Process raw data from high-resolution instruments (Orbitrap, QTOF).
Conduct protein identification, quantification, PTM analysis, and differential expression analysis.
Perform metabolomics data processing including peak picking, normalization, annotation, and statistical evaluation.
Execute Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis (Biological Process, Molecular Function, Cellular Component).
Perform pathway analysis using databases such as KEGG, Reactome, and similar platforms.
Integrate omics datasets for biological interpretation and biomarker discovery.
Use tools like Proteome Discoverer, MaxQuant, Compound Discoverer, and bioinformatics platforms.
Apply statistical tools (R/Python) for data analysis and visualization.
Prepare high-quality scientific reports and client presentations.
Collaborate with experimental teams for study design and validation.
Mandatory Requirements
Proven experience in proteomics and metabolomics data analysis (mandatory).
Hands-on experience in Gene Ontology (GO) and pathway enrichment analysis (mandatory).
Strong understanding of mass spectrometry workflows and omics data interpretation.
Experience with databases such as UniProt, KEGG, HMDB, Metlin.
Proficiency in R / Python / bioinformatics pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
M.Sc / M.Tech / PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
Experience with Orbitrap / QTOF data processing.
Knowledge of multi-omics integration and systems biology approaches.
Experience in CRO/analytical service industry is an advantage.
