Job Overview

Job Description

What happens to the pancreas after alcohol exposure?
Here is a short video showing the zebrafish pancreas responding to alcohol-induced stress, revealing striking cellular responses that occur in real time. Understanding these mechanisms is essential for identifying how alcohol damages digestive organs and how tissues recover from injury.

Applications are invited for the position of ANRF–Junior Research Fellow (ANRF-JRF) in an ANRF-funded research project investigating alcohol-induced injury in the liver and pancreas using zebrafish models.

The project aims to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms of alcohol-induced organ damage, with emphasis on calcium signaling. The research combines live imaging, genetics, and quantitative analysis in zebrafish.
