Position: Mass Spectrometry Scientist

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $30–$95/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Apply mass spectrometry expertise to train, evaluate, and improve AI models used in scientific and analytical workflows.
• Develop, review, and validate datasets, prompts, and outputs related to mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry.
• Interpret complex mass spectrometry spectra and datasets to verify scientific accuracy.
• Provide expert feedback on AI-generated scientific content to ensure correct methodology and terminology.
• Design mass spectrometry scenarios, analytical problems, and evaluation datasets for AI training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including AI researchers, engineers, and data scientists.
• Document findings, insights, and best practices to improve AI training pipelines and evaluation processes.

Requirements

• Advanced hands-on experience with mass spectrometry techniques and instrumentation.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in interpreting complex MS datasets.
• Deep understanding of analytical chemistry principles and MS-based experimental workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex scientific concepts.
• Experience working in scientific research labs, analytical laboratories, or similar technical environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote collaborative setting.
• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
