Roles and Responsibilities:
Actively scout for ideas/innovators/startups in the areas of bioengineering biotechnology medical technology lifesciences pharmaceuticals and agriculture.
Interact with members of the startup community: innovators and entrepreneurs from within and outside IIT Bombay.
Active participation in the government grants for effective implementation progress monitoring of startup teams fund management mentorship reporting to funding agencies.
Plan his/her own roadmap for sourcing quality ideas/applicants in BioMedtech/ healthcare domain.
Responsible for endtoend activities that are involved from sourcing to incubation.
Shall network with various stakeholders such as incubators investors mentors domain experts industry IITB community and Alumni network and government.
Organize periodical events and workshops for innovators entrepreneurs and startups.

Eligibility:
Graduation in lifesciences/ bioengineering/pharmaceuticals (postgraduation preferable) M.Sc/ Mtech or Phd
Prior experience of setting up or managing laboratory facility will be preferred
Prior experience of planning and execution of events and workshops
Ability to perform under timelines in accurate manner to work in team multitasking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to network with academia and business community
Willingness to travel for the work purpose
Work experience in life science/healthcare startups ecosystem
Exposure to dealing with academia
Knowledge of IP management

Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), is an umbrella organization at IIT Bombay for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing technology start-ups. It provides ‘Start to Scale’ support to technology startups and innovators. Established in the year 2004, SINE has completed 20 years and has gained recognition as one of the pioneers of the startup incubation ecosystem in India.
