Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented “Junior Research Fellow”. The successful candidate will support ongoing research and development activities by performing routine and specialized tasks related to a project on developing cell-based therapy for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handling of blood samples and reprogramming to induced pluripotent stem cells through established protocols.
• Maintain and culture various pluripotent stem cell lines, differentiate to alveolar and proximal cell types using established 2D and 3D protocols.
• Prepare media, buffers, and procure consumables and reagents required for cell culture work.
• Characterization of in vitro generated cells by real time PCR, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry and western blotting.
• Cryo-sectioning of tissues / organoids, H&E staining and immunohistochemistry.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance as per company’s quality management standards.
Qualifications and skills:
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Prior experience in mammalian (primary) cell culture and/ or pluripotent stem cells is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and laboratory safety protocols.
• Good team player and efficient time-management skills, adherence to stringent timelines.
• Ability to handle the project with mentorship guidance and travel to collaborators laboratory when required.
