We are Hiring Bioinformatician at Oncquest Laboratories Ltd.
Department: Research & Development / Molecular Biology
Location: Gurugram

Experience Required: 3+ Years

Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a bioinformatics analyst and developer for genomics research projects.
2. Design, optimize, and implement bioinformatics workflows and analytical processes.
3. Perform NGS data processing, quality control, genome alignment, variant calling, and downstream analysis.
4. Work closely with life science researchers to translate project objectives into computational solutions.
5. Identify, evaluate, and adopt new technologies and analytical methods, including long-read sequencing, AI/ML-based tools, and advanced algorithms.
6. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including SOPs, reports, and presentations for internal reviews and external publications.
7. Participate in experimental workflows involving NGS library preparation and real-time PCR.
8. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant scientific and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related discipline.
2. Minimum 3+ years of research experience in genomics, molecular biology, computational biology, or related fields.
3. 1–2 years of hands-on experience in NGS library preparation and Real-Time PCR.
4. Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing data analytical pipelines for NGS and other high-throughput platforms.
5. Strong command of scripting and data analysis languages/software (e.g., Python, R, Bash, Linux, Nextflow, Galaxy, etc.) — preferred.
6. Ability to critically evaluate data and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.


Preferred Skills
1. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for bioinformatics workflows.
2. Experience with machine learning applications in biological data.
3. Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
4. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines in clinical genomics (CLIA/CAP) — if applicable
