We are inviting applications for a Project Associate position in the Department of Applied Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering, IIT Madras. This project is sponsored by the FedEx SMART Center, IIT Madras.

The selected candidate will work on developing reinforcement-learning–based navigation strategies for autonomous mobile vehicles in warehouse settings, drawing inspiration from bio-inspired algorithms and multimodal sensing.

Position Details:
Duration: 1 year
Vacancies: 1
Pay: ₹50,000 per month (consolidated)

🎓 Eligibility: UG/PG degree in Basic Sciences, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.

Desired Experience (one or more of the following):
Modelling and control of mobile robotic systems, Working with simulation platforms such as Gazebo or MuJoCo, Reinforcement learning methods, Bio-inspired algorithms or multimodal sensing techniques
