Hiring: Project Research Scientist-II (NM) | ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Navi Mumbai

Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Tata Memorial Centre, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, is recruiting a Project Research Scientist-II for an ICMR-funded project:
“Centre for Advanced Research on Innovation in Diagnosis, Prognostication, and Monitoring of Acute Myeloid Leukemia”

This is a four-year prospective study developing long-read nanopore sequencing diagnostics for acute leukemia, leveraging methylation-based classifiers built with AI/ML approaches. This is a purely computational role.

What we’re looking for:
A candidate with a strong quantitative background (mathematics, statistics, physics, electronic engineering, computer science, or IT) and hands-on proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch preferred).
Experience in AI development combined with methylation analysis or genomics would be preferred.

Eligibility (either): — First Class / CGPA ≥ 7 in PG/Master’s + 3 years post-qualification experience with Python and DL frameworks — Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative discipline with hands-on Python and DL experience

Candidates not meeting experience criteria may be considered for Project Research Scientist-I at a lower pay scale per ICMR guidelines.
