We are recruiting a Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) for the ICMR-funded project “Centre for Advanced Research on Innovation in Diagnosis, Prognostication, and Monitoring of Acute Myeloid Leukemia” in the Department of Hematopathology, ACTREC.

What You Will Do
The selected candidate will work at the intersection of clinical diagnostics and translational research in AML. Responsibilities include image analysis of bone marrow aspirates, genomics-based AI/ML studies, and flow cytometry for AML MRD assessment. This is a hands-on role with direct involvement in clinical reporting as well as research.

What You Will Gain
Candidates will receive substantial exposure to clinical genomics, including nanopore sequencing and methylation-based classification workflows. There will be opportunities to participate in diagnostic reporting alongside structured research training. In addition, the role offers dedicated exposure to flow cytometry-based measurable residual disease (MRD) assessment in AML — a critical and evolving domain in haematological diagnostics.

Eligibility
MBBS with 3 years’ post-qualification experience in Pathology, OR MBBS with MD/DNB in Pathology (including integrated PG degrees). One year of experience in Hematopathology, Molecular Pathology, or Molecular Hemato-Oncology is desirable.
Details

Salary: Rs. 1,04,000/- per month (Rs. 80,000 + 30% HRA)

Age limit: 40 years

Duration: 6 months, extendable for 5 years based on performance
