Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist/ Associate Position in NanoAyur Biosciences Department. The role will be to assist in the development of novel lipid- based nanoparticles focussed on the nano drug delivery system of Ayurveda-based herbal formulations enhancing their therapeutic values. The successful candidate will be well-versed in
lipid chemistry and contribute to the designing and standardization of lipid-based nanocarriers
using standard and advanced microfluidics based systems. The successful candidate will be
responsible for preparing research outputs in the form of manuscripts, SOPs and study reports, and
effectively communicating findings in conferences.
Job Responsibilities
 Deep understanding of scalable lipid-based drug delivery nanocarriers systems.
 Design and standardize synthesis of lipid-based nanoparticles for organ-specific targeted
drug delivery with high stability and herbal medicine loading capacity.
 Perform physicochemical characterisation of nanoparticles, including dynamic light
scattering analysis, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray
diffraction analysis, encapsulation efficiency, and release kinetics.
 Analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical computational tools and maintain
proper documentations.
 Communicate findings effectively within the research team and actively contribute to
research publications, reports, and presentations.
 Collaborate closely with diverse Drug Discovery and Development Division research teams
for achieving project milestones and ensuring timely deliverables.
Qualifications and experience:
 A doctorate degree with research experience at doctoral or postdoctoral level in the
development of lipid-based nanocarriers.
 Experience in set-up and establishment of microfluidic systems.
 Basic understanding of the design, formulation, and optimisation of lipid-based nanoparticles
for drug delivery applications.
 Understanding of the nanoparticle physicochemical analysis methodologies including dynamic
light scattering (DLS), spectroscopy, encapsulation efficiency, and drug release studies.
 Keen interest in the development of strong analytical and problem solving skills related to drug
formulation and pharmacokinetics.
 Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.
 Effective communication skills (written and oral) for technical documentation and scientific
dissemination.
