Job Description
We’re hiring! Join us at the cutting edge of microscopy 🔬
We’re looking for a technically focused scientist/engineer to help support and develop our advanced microscopy platforms, including cryoFIB-SEM, super-resolution light microscopy, cryoEM, cryoET, and associated data processing pipelines.
This role would be ideal for:
🎓 a recent BSc/MSc graduate with a physics, engineering, or closely related background who wants hands-on experience with world-class instrumentation, or
🧑🔬 a more experienced researcher ready to step away from the postdoc track and into a facility-style role, with scope to support not just our lab but, as funding grows, the wider department or faculty.
We’re keen to hear from applicants who have demonstrable education or practical experience in relevant areas (e.g. microscopy, imaging, instrumentation, data analysis, or related physical/quantitative sciences). You don’t need to tick every box — curiosity and a solid technical foundation matter most.
If you enjoy solving technical problems, working with advanced instruments, and enabling great science, this could be a fantastic next step. Please feel free to get in touch or share with anyone who might be a good fit.
