platform with a priority in oncology. We are a dynamic, fast-paced team passionate about pushing the

located at Barcelona Science Park (PCB).
Role Overview
We seek a highly motivated and organized post-doc researcher to lead and coordinate critical
projects within our organization. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving research applied to
biomedical unmet needs primarily in oncology field. The ideal candidate thrives in a start-up
environment and has a strong background in biomedicine within the biotech or life sciences sector,
with a focus on in vivo studies. Examples of applications of nanobots can be found in the recent
publications of the group (see Simo, Serra et al. Nature Nanotech 2024; Ruiz et al. Small 2024 or Serra
et al. ACS Nano 2024).
Key Responsibilities:

1. Research planning & execution:

• Investigate physico-chemical interactions of nanoparticles with biological fluids and complex
  tissues (mucus, ECM, tumor microenvironment).
• Evaluate mechanisms of action, drug loading/release profiles, and safety of nanomotors in
  vivo.
• Establish, optimize, and validate relevant animal models (subcutaneous, orthotopic,
  intravesical, mucosal, etc.) for pipeline expansion.
• Coordinate sample processing and downstream analysis: histology, IVIS, flow cytometry,
  imaging modalities, molecular assays.
• Ensure compliance with FELASA/ethics requirements, internal SOPs, and project timelines.

1. Research coordination & reporting:

• Mentor and supervise bachelor, master, and PhD students, ensuring methodological rigor and
  scientific growth. Interact and reporting within Nanobots Therapeutics and partners.
• Actively working in the development of new ideas that give rise to future and/or evolution of
  projects and generation of intellectual property.
• Technical preparation and justification of project proposals to public and private funding.
• Direct reporting to CSO. Provide regular updates to C-level management on project status and
  KPIs.

1. Strategic Contribution:

• Support the development of the company’s long-term goals and pipeline.
• Identify opportunities for nanomotors and in vivo applications and indications.

  Qualifications & skills:
  Essential:
• PhD in the field of biology, biomedicine, pharmacy, nanomedicine, biochemistry,
  nanobiotechnology or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with rodent in vivo models (≥3 years highly valued): tumor induction,
  dosing routes, monitoring, necropsy, and tissue processing. Demonstrated experience in in
  vivo oncology studies (efficacy, biodistribution, PK/PD, toxicity).
• Experience with confocal microscopy.
• Experience with flow cytometry.
• Experience with cell cultures (cell lines and primary cells).
• High level of English.
  Advantageous:
• Prior experience in nanoparticles/nanomedicine, drug-loading strategies, or drug-release
  kinetics.
• Experience in 3D in vitro models, organoids, or microphysiological systems.
• Experience with in vivo imaging (IVIS, PET, MRI, photoacoustics).
