Ph.D. / Project Fellow Position Available
Project Title: Microfluidic-Based Point-of-Care Device for Rapid and Sensitive Serum Ferritin Quantification
We invite applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates for one Ph.D. student / Project Fellow position under an exciting interdisciplinary research project. The work will be carried out under the joint supervision of Dr. Soumyananda Chakraborti and Prof. Jayaprakash K. S.
Research Focus
The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies, including:
Recombinant protein expression and purification
Antibody development and detection strategies
Advanced biosensor design and development
Microfluidics-based point-of-care device fabrication
This project offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of protein engineering, biosensing, and microfluidic device development, with strong translational potential.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Applicants with prior training or strong interest in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
Molecular biology and protein engineering
Spectroscopy and biophysical techniques
Biosensors and analytical device development
Microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip technologies
A demonstrated enthusiasm for interdisciplinary, hands-on experimental research is essential. Candidates holding their own fellowship will be given preference.
