Job Overview

Job Description

A post-doctoral Position is available in my lab!
The Shukla lab at the Department of Oncology Science and the NCI-designated OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on the interface of RNA metabolism and metabolic-epigenetic crosstalk in the regulation of pancreatic cancer pathogenesis and therapy response. The project is built on our prior work (Nature Cell Biology, 2024; Cancer Cell, 2017; Gastroenterology, 2021; JEM, 2020). The work is supported by long-term financial support from Stephenson Cancer Centre. Postdoctoral researchers will work in a multidisciplinary research group to study the role of epigenetic and metabolic regulators in the alteration of tumor-microenvironment and therapeutic response. We will utilize Genome-wide CRISPR screening, spatial metabolomics, and spatial transcriptomics, along with conventional metabolomics, transcriptomics, and gene editing tools. The project will also use organoids and different mouse models of pancreatic cancer, such as genetically engineered mouse models and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models of pancreatic cancer. The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph. D. in Molecular Biology/ Cancer Biology/ Biochemistry or a related field with expertise in cell-based assays and animal studies. We are seeking recent graduates ( within 1-3 years of PhD degree). Interested candidates should submit their CVs directly to Surendra-Shukla@ouhsc.edu.
