Job Overview

Job Description

Structural and functional alterations at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) are observed in sarcopenia. NMJ changes have been shown to precede muscle atrophy and weakness, suggesting its role as an early event in sarcopenia pathogenesis. To better understand the underlying mechanisms of NMJ dysfunction, we seek innovative approaches using in vitro/ex vivo models to support mechanistic studies in sarcopenia. Potential in-scope solutions include establishing human and murine 2D and 3D models and mimicking aging using pharmacological, genetic or other approaches.
