Recruitment for the Faculty Positions at the Level of Assistant Professor, Grade I (Pay Level 12) and Assistant Professor, Grade II (on Contract Basis) (Pay Level 10)

I. National Institute of Technology Delhi is one among 31 NITs established by Government of India, a premier technical Institution of the country. National Institute of Technology Delhi, located on the GT Karnal Road and connected through UER

II to the northern part of Delhi City, is an Institute of National Importance that ranks among the top engineering institutes in India. Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals in the prescribed format through Samarth Portal, for recruitment to the faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor, Grade I (Pay Level 12) and Assistant Professor, Grade II (Pay Level 10) (on Contract Basis) in the various Departments/ Disciplines of the Institute against the Advertisement No.: 21/2025.

Detailed Educational Qualifications, Experience and Other Criteria for selection shall be as per the Schedule “E” of the Statutes of NITs. (Reference: First Statutes of the National Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Statutes, 2017, The Gazette of India Notification No. 651 dated 24th July, 2017); the CEI (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019; and, Clarifications received from MHRD (Now, MoE) vide F. No. 33-9/2011-TS.III dated 16th April, 2019 in the Recruitment Rules for faculty of NITs, and the First Statutes of the National Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Statutes, 2023 (Reference: The Gazette of India Notification No. 484 dated 07th July, 2023) and other amendments received from Ministry of Education from time to time.

V. Applications received through any other mode shall not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. Every completed online application shall be assigned a unique application/form reference number, which should be used for all future communication.

VI. Important dates: a) Opening date of online portal: 17.12.2025. b) Last date for submission of online application: 07.01.2026 c) Last date for submission of hardcopy of application: 19.01.2026 till 5:00 PM.

VII.
