We’re hiring freelance editors & reviewers. One-year engagement. Experienced folks only.

SciRio is building a small roster of seasoned editors and reviewers for a year-long freelance engagement (subject to project confirmation).

If you’ve spent years editing long-form academic, policy, or research writing — and you’re looking for steady, meaningful work over the next twelve months — read on.

🔍 What you’ll be working on – Long-form publications across proofreading, basic editing, and substantive editing. You should be confident across all three levels.

👤 Who we’re looking for:
↳ Master’s or PhD in education, international development, sociology, public policy, anthropology, or psychology preferred
↳ Strong professional editing or writing track record
↳ Excellent command of written English (British conventions)
↳ Comfort with both qualitative and quantitative research
↳ Bonus: experience in the development or policy sector

📊 Capacity:
↳ Editors: ~30,000 words/month
↳ Reviewers: ~60,000 words/month
↳ One-year commitment required
