Client is looking to hire a Senior/Lead Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Location: Hyderabad

Profile :

Client is seeking a Ph.D.-level bioinformatician with 815 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in computational genomics and data analysis. The ideal candidate combines leadership and scientific depth with a strong hands-on programming ability and the drive to build solutions from the ground up in a startup environment.

You will lead bioinformatics development for our NGS-based diagnostic and translational genomics programs, collaborating closely with clinicians, molecular biologists, and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and validation of NGS analysis pipelines covering variant calling, CNV detection, fusion discovery, expression, and methylation analysis.

Supervise and mentor a growing bioinformatics team while remaining actively involved in coding, debugging, and analysis.

Integrate multi-omics datasets and contribute to algorithm development for biomarker discovery and clinical applications.

Write, optimize, and maintain code for bioinformatics workflows and automation

Work independently in a startup setting and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field.

8–15 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.

Proven expertise in NGS data analysis and pipeline development, with strong coding and debugging skills.

Ability to design and implement computational workflows from raw data to result interpretation.

Track record of hands-on contributions and leadership in bioinformatics projects.

Strong publication record and familiarity with translational or clinical genomics preferred.
