Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Coimbatore for a Senior Retired Scientist. The primary responsibilities include mentoring research teams, guiding scholarly publications, advising on ongoing projects, and contributing expertise to scientific and technological advancements. The role will involve collaboration with faculty and students to drive innovative research while ensuring adherence to academic and ethical standards. Additionally, the Senior Retired Scientist will be expected to assist in grant acquisition and provide strategic insights into the institute’s research direction.
Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in scientific research and development, including mentoring and leading research teams.
- Strong publication record, with experience in preparing and reviewing scholarly articles for high-impact journals.
- Knowledge of grant writing and securing research funding.
- Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, alongside excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant scientific field is required; post-doctoral experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in academic mentoring and a history of substantial contributions to the scientific community.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative and ethical research environment.
