Applications are invited for SRF position on Ad hoc basis to work on a project involving Fungal transformation for one year with possible extension at Plant Cell Technology Lab, Department of Biotechnology, Bhupat and Jyoti Mehta School of Biosciences, IIT-Madras. Essential qualification: M.Tech/M.Sc degree in Bioprocess Engineering/Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Biological Sciences/Mycology and related fields from recognized university or an equivalent institution. Candidate should be qualified in CSIR/UGC/GATE or other National Level tests. Minimum 2 years of research experience.
Or
Ph. D in similar fields from recognized university or equivalent institution with specialization in Fungal Biotechnology/Mycology/Genetic engineering.
The candidate should have hands on experience in cultivation and genetic transformation of filamentous fungi, experience in molecular biology techniques, including quantitative RT PCR.
The applicant should possess strong ability to work in a team and to manage day-to-day lab operations. Monthly pay Rs. 42,000/- consolidated.
