Objectives :
-To train the scientists in the area of NGS data analysis by providing lectures as well as hands on approach to various software utilized for NGS data
analysis.
-To provide basic understanding of NGS by domain experts that will upgrade the knowledge and skills of agricultural professionals.

-Overview of NGS: Whole Genome, RNA-seq, Exome
Sequencing, ChIP-Seq
-Different NGS platforms and Applications
-Introduction to the Linux and R
-Navigation and basic commands in the Terminal
-Introduction of omics databases and tools for NGS data analysis
-Data Retrieval (NCBI SRA) & Introduction to data types
-Evaluation of raw NGS quality
-Processing of Sequence Reads
-Read mapping to the reference sequence
-Gene annotation
-Variant calling
-Differential Expression Analysis
