Job Title: Upstream Mammalian Cell Culture Professional (Biologics Operations)
Experience: 3-6 yrs
Position: Executive/Sr. Executive

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Biologics Operations – Upstream team. The role involves performing and monitoring all upstream activities related to mammalian cell culture, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and supporting seamless process execution from vial thaw to batch harvest.

# Key Responsibilities:
Follow good aseptic practices inside the biologics operations facility.

Perform upstream activities including assembly preparation, media preparation, vial thaw, feed preparation & filtration, bioreactor operations through batch harvest.

Monitor and control upstream processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Maintain accurate and complete quality and process records.

Ensure full traceability from raw material to finished product.

Conduct in-process sampling, product storage, and documentation review.

Act as room owner for assigned USP areas and perform instrument/equipment ownership responsibilities.

Initiate and track complaint slips/work orders for USP-related areas and equipment.

Coordinate with QA for line clearance and inspection readiness.

Perform system monitoring (LNS, LN2 tank refilling, Gas Bank, etc.).

Prepare and execute upstream protocols, procedures, risk assessments, and batch manufacturing records (BMRs).

Execute upstream activity-related equipment/instrument qualifications.

Manage general consumable stock, preventive maintenance, and calibration planning.

Ensure audit/inspection readiness at all times.

Report deviations/nonconformities to the supervisor promptly.

Participate in downstream-related activities as needed under supervision.

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field.

Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and upstream bioprocess operations (preferred in GMP environment).

Strong understanding of bioreactor operations, aseptic techniques, and process control.

Familiarity with quality systems, BMRs, and regulatory compliance.

Good documentation practices and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
