Job Requirements and Required Skills:

• Perform and oversee karyotyping and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis from Peripheral blood, prenatal; haematological malignancy samples.
• Analyze, Interpret and report cytogenetic findings accurately using ISCN Nomenclature.
• Develop, validate and implement new cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic techniques.
• Ensure timely processing and reporting of cytogenetic tests, maintaining defined turnaround times (TAT).
• Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), validation reports, and relevant documents as needed.
• Utilize LIMS for sample tracking and seamless workflow integration.
• Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and care of laboratory instruments, including routine checks and troubleshooting.
• Manage inventory to ensure the availability of reagents, consumables, and critical supplies.
• Document assay failures, delays, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives comprehensively.
• Communicate process delays or failures proactively with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance laboratory operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA, NABL and other relevant regulatory standards for quality assurance.
• Train and mentor junior technologists, and team members.
