We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Genomics Medicine Unit at Sanofi and play a role in executing in vivo studies to develop best in class gene therapies. The successful candidate will support in vivo experiments to help with the development of gene therapy and other strategies addressing neurologic, neuromuscular, immunology, ocular, rare blood, renal and metabolic diseases and participate in the successful translation of pre-clinical gene therapy programs.

Main Responsibilities:
Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to:
Execute rodent pharmacology studies that evaluate gene therapy candidates
Contribute to several experiments simultaneously and perform in a time sensitive manner
Develop and carry out research involving various animal laboratory techniques including surgery, therapeutic administration, behavioral testing, and tissue / blood collection
Communicate and coordinate with other scientists on the project team to draft, finalize, and implement study protocols. Follow protocols, standard operating procedures and independently execute tasks
Collect and record data, prepare a summary of experimental procedures and results and present data in team meetings and across disease areas to support the Genomic Medicine Unit at large
Act as an impactful contributor working in a team or as an individual member
Foster creativity, productivity, execution with a sense of urgency, teamwork, accountability and cross-functional collaboration
