Job Description

PhD Opportunity in the Gleitz Lab – Erasmus MC, Rotterdam 🚨

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join the Gleitz Lab at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, for a fully funded 4-year position, co-supervised by myself and Rebekka K. Schneider, MD, PhD.

Our lab investigates myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) — with a focus on understanding the crosstalk between the hematopoietic compartment and the bone marrow microenvironment. By uncovering how these interactions drive disease, we aim to identify new therapeutic targets and strategies to improve treatment for patients.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of experimental hematology, microenvironment biology, and translational research within a collaborative and international team. We combine in vivo models of MPNs with single-cell spatial omics and patient samples to create exciting and fast-moving projects.

🧬 What we offer:
* A fully funded 4-year PhD position
* Cutting-edge research in an inspiring academic setting
* Access to state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant scientific community
* Life in Rotterdam, a dynamic and international city with great quality of life

The official job advertisement will be released soon on the Erasmus MC website, but if you’re already interested, please get in touch!

📩 Send your CV and motivation letter to h.gleitz@erasmusmc.nl.
We look forward to hearing from curious, driven minds who are as excited by hematology research as we are!
