Jean D’Alembert Research Fellowship – Université Paris-Saclay
Université Paris-Saclay is pleased to invite applications for the Jean D’Alembert Fellowship Programme, part of its broader “Research & Innovation” initiative. This programme aims to attract highly qualified international scientists for long-term research stays (6 to 12 months) within one of the research units affiliated with Université Paris-Saclay.
About the Fellowship
The Jean D’Alembert Fellowship is open to international researchers from all disciplines and all countries, who wish to collaborate with research teams at Université Paris-Saclay. The fellowship is structured around two sub-programmes:
- Junior Researchers: For candidates who obtained their PhD less than 10 years before the application deadline.
- Senior Researchers: For candidates who obtained their PhD 10 years or more before the application deadline.
Funding & Support
Fellowship recipients will receive:
- A monthly net salary of €2,800 (before taxes), paid through a work contract for the duration of their stay at Université Paris-Saclay.
- A research allowance of up to €10,000 to cover expenses related to research activities at the host laboratory. Applicants must specify the requested amount and anticipated uses in their application.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must:
- Hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Be currently employed as a researcher, engineer, or faculty member at a foreign academic institution (tenure-track positions accepted).
- Not have resided in France for more than six months at the application deadline.
- For French citizens: you must have been living and working abroad for at least five years at the date of application to be eligible.
- Be available for a research stay in a laboratory affiliated with Université Paris-Saclay.
