Leveraging cutting-edge RNA technologies including siRNA, we are building a pipeline of innovative treatments designed to address unmet patient needs in I&I, while advancing products in other therapeutic areas in collaboration with partners.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow who can integrate into a fast-paced life sciences company that seeks to develop siRNA:centyrin conjugates for immunological diseases. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in immunological techniques and general concepts of autoimmunity. Experience in RNA biology is a plus. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, attention to detail and a desire to create new medicines for patients. This position has the potential to be converted to a full-time Scientist position at the discretion of the company after no less than 2 years.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology is required
• Experience with the following immunological techniques is preferred:
• DNA/RNA extraction
• ELISA/MSD assays
• qPCR
• Western Blot
• purification and culture of primary immune cells (human and mouse)
• developing new fluorophore panels as well as setting gating hierarchies with a preference for application on human cells
• functional immune assays
• basic biochemical/immunological techniques
• Ability and desire to work on inter-disciplinary projects with other members of the company across different functional areas within biology and in chemistry and protein engineering
• The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for science and the development of new, highly innovative technologies. Job Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of drug discovery and development
• Aid in identifying inflammatory diseases for drug indications, inclusive of identification of appropriate disease models/systems
• Perform laboratory experiments focused on understanding basic mechanisms of siRNA biology within the immune system
• Perform studies to advance drug discovery programs including assay design, assessment of early drug leads and mechanistic studies
• Train other scientists on immunological techniques
• Proficiency in the independent design and analysis of experiments
• High level of proficiency in spectral flow cytometry assays
• Significant understanding of data analysis, reproducibility and reliability of experimental data
• Contribute significantly to in-house as well as externally facing meetings, conferences and collaborations
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed and highly collaborative team
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral with an ability to organize and communicate complex data sets in a clear and concise manner
• Proven track record of being personable, energetic, responsive, action-oriented, and accountable
