Job Description
🌟 We Are Hiring: Junior Research Fellows (JRFs)
ACTREC–TMC, Department of Radiation Oncology, Translational Nanomedicine and Bioengineering Lab
TNB Lab is inviting applications from highly motivated, technically trained, and research-oriented candidates for two cutting-edge translational oncology projects. Only applicants with relevant hands-on skills and proven research experience should apply.
🔬 Project 1: 3D Organoid Platform for Molecular Signature Discovery in Breast Cancer Metastasis
Required Skills (Mandatory):
Hands-on experience in 3D organoid/spheroid culture (not theoretical knowledge)
Experience with patient-derived samples, sterile technique, GLP
Transcriptomics / RNA-seq bioinformatics: QC, alignment, DE analysis, pathway analysis
Experience with scaffold-based models, co-culture, or imaging-based analysis (preferred)
Additional Skills (Strongly Preferred):
Flow cytometry, confocal microscopy
Handling primary cultures
Experience with R/Python-based analysis pipelines
🧬 Project 2: Omics-Guided Therapy Design for Brain Tumor Treatment
Required Skills (Mandatory):
Strong bioinformatics proficiency: bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, proteomics or multi-omics integration
Capability to handle large datasets, statistical analysis, and computational modelling
Experience in biomarker identification, dataset curation from GEO/TCGA/other open-source repositories
Additional Skills (Strongly Preferred):
Experience in machine learning for biological datasets
Knowledge of GBM biology, tumor microenvironment, or precision medicine
Experience with data visualization tools (Seurat, Scanpy, ggplot2, Python libraries)
Who Should NOT Apply
To avoid unnecessary applications:
Candidates without hands-on wet-lab or bioinformatics experience
Candidates expecting training from scratch
Candidates unsure about long-term commitment (≥ 1.5 years)
Candidates who apply casually or without matching skills
