Project Research Scientist/RA/SRF/Project Technical Support positions at Cellular
Immunology Group, ICGEB, New Delhi

Project Technical Support II: Applications are invited for the position of Project Technical
Support II in the Cellular Immunology Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is temporary,
with an initial tenure of one year, which can be extended to the maximum duration of the
project, on a year-by-year basis, subject to annual assessment.
Educational qualifications: 12th in Science, Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering), or five years of
experience working in the relevant field.
Requirements: Should have experience of working in a life science laboratory.

Project Research Scientist II/RA: Applications are invited for the position of Project
Research Scientist/RA in the Cellular Immunology Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is
temporary, with an initial tenure of one year, which can be extended to the maximum
duration of the project, on a year-by-year basis, subject to annual assessment.
Educational qualifications: PhD in any field of life sciences.
Requirements: Extensive experience in small animal handling (mice, guinea pigs), including
dosing (oral gavage, IP, IV, ID, etc.), tissue harvesting, etc. Experience in Flow cytometry/FACS
sorting is a critical requirement for this position. Prior experience of working in a BSL3
environment will be preferred.
The RA is expected to carry out the designated work independently, be capable of
troubleshooting, and be amenable to working in a large group.

Project Research Scientist I/Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Applications are invited for
the position of Project Research Scientist I/Senior Research Fellow in the Cellular
Immunology Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is temporary, with an initial tenure of one
year, which can be extended to the maximum duration of the project, on a year-by-year basis,
subject to annual assessment.
Educational qualifications: Post-graduate degree (MSc) in any life science field, physics or
Mathematics or M.Tech degree in a related field.
Essential Requirements: Only NET/GATE-qualified individuals or those holding an M.Tech
degree will be called for interviews.
Requirements: Knowledge of working with flow cytometry is highly desirable and will be
considered favourably. Or hands-on experience of working in molecular biology,
microbiology, including cloning and expression of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genes in
bacterial and mammalian systems, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, etc. Or
computational and bioinformatics skills, including next-gen sequence read alignments,
expression analysis, multivariate analysis, data handling and representation. The ability to
work on a Linux system is highly desirable.
