Job Title: Research Associate – NGS & Molecular Biology

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Research Associate to support molecular biology and next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows. The role involves hands-on execution of nucleic acid isolation, NGS library preparation, sequencing, quality control, and close coordination with technical teams to ensure high-quality, compliant laboratory operations.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plan and execute nucleic acid isolation (DNA/RNA) from various biological sample types
Perform NGS library preparation, sequencing runs, and associated quality control steps
Conduct library and sample QC using appropriate instruments and methods
Coordinate with technical team members to prioritize daily laboratory tasks and ensure timely project delivery
Maintain accurate documentation of day-to-day laboratory activities, experiments, and results
Prepare, review, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with accreditation and quality norms
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Optimize new assays and workflows and troubleshoot experimental and technical issues
Provide technical inputs, insights, and feedback to help refine and improve laboratory services
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Genetics, or a related field
Hands-on experience in NGS workflows, including sample preparation and library construction
Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques and laboratory best practices
Familiarity with quality systems, accreditation standards, and laboratory documentation
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working in an accredited laboratory environment (ISO, NABL, CAP, CLIA exposure preferred)
Hands-on experience with Illumina or similar sequencing platforms
Ability to troubleshoot assays and independently handle laboratory workflows
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
