We are expanding our team in Düsseldorf and looking for talented individuals to help shape the future of recombinant peptide and protein production .

1. (Senior-) Scientist / PostDoc – Downstream Processing
Focus: Development of DSP strategies, process scale-up, and preparation of tech transfers .
Requirements: PhD in a relevant discipline plus at least 2 years of professional experience in downstream processing.

2. Technical Assistant (BTA/CTA) / Biologisch/Chemisch-Technische Assistenz
Focus: Execution of experimental work, protein purification, analytics, and lab support .
Requirements: Completed training as BTA/CTA or a B.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biochemistry .

We are looking for a
(Senior-) Scientist / PostDoc – Downstream Processing (m/w/d)
to join our team as soon as possible
on a full-time basis.
Your Responsibilities

• Development, optimization, and implementation of downstream processing (DSP) strategies.
• Upscaling of processes and preparation of tech transfers.
• Establishment and execution of peptide and protein analyses including release analyses.
• Preparation of customer and process-related (e.g. SOPs) documentation and reporting to customers and
  management.
• Lead and train scientists and technicians for operating downstream processes and maintaining the
  equipment.
• Closely collaborate with and support teams in upstream processing, molecular biology and analytics.
• Support quality management and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  Your Profile
• PhD in a biology/chemistry-related discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life sciences, or comparable)
  with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in downstream processing (DSP)
• Strong expertise in DSP development, peptide synthesis and protein purification with extensive hands-on
  experience with chromatographic systems used in peptide and protein processing
• Strong expertise in process scale-up and tech transfer support
• Excellent knowledge of peptide and protein analytics, including HPLC, SEC, mass spectrometry, light
  scattering, product- and process-related impurities and typical in-process controls (IPC)
• Experience in precipitation and tangential flow filtration (TFF) of biomolecules
• Experience in formulation of biomolecules (e.g. liquid formulation or lyophilization)
• Experience in programming for lab process automation is a plus.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with fast thinking and adaptability in a
  dynamic work environment.
• Excellent German (B2) and English (C1) communication skills, both written and spoken.
