Job Overview

Job Description

We’re hiring a PhD student at Center for Translational Protein Design!

Migraines affect over 1 billion people worldwide, yet we still lack fast-acting, targeted treatments that go beyond symptom relief. That’s what we’re working to change. I’m looking for a motivated PhD student to join our lab and develop multi-target GPCR inhibitors for acute migraine.

This sits right at the intersection of protein design and translational neuroscience, and builds on our growing expertise in designing binders that actually work in vivo. This is a hands-on, wet lab/dry lab hybrid position.

You’ll design, clone, express, and characterise therapeutic minibinders, develop synthetic mRNA constructs, run functional GPCR assays, and support in vivo validation. If you love being at the bench and want your work to have a clear translational path, this is for you.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and ambitious team at DTU – Technical University of Denmark, working alongside expert collaborators in neuroscience and pharmacology, with access to outstanding infrastructure.

📍 DTU Lyngby, Denmark
đź“… Start: 1 June 2026 (or sooner)
⏳ Deadline to apply: 3 April 2026

If you hold (or are close to completing) an MSc in Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Biomedicine, or a related field and you’re ready to tackle a genuinely hard biological problem, I’d love to hear from you.
