We’re hiring a PostDoc / Senior Scientist to join my group at the Universität Salzburg.

We study how the physical and chemical organization of cell surfaces controls immune recognition and cytotoxicity. Our focus is the immune synapse – the contact zone where lymphocytes encounter dendritic cells, tumour cells, or engineered systems – and how receptor–ligand interactions and membrane mechanics shape immune responses. We combine biophysics, molecular immunology, organoids, advanced imaging, and AI-assisted analysis to define what governs T cell activation and to inform next-generation immunotherapies.

Our group is newly established, and we’re looking for someone with initiative and genuine enthusiasm for the science.
