Roles and Responsibilities

• Equipment management at the TBI facility
• Coordinate with authorized service providers/manufacturers and internal sections for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Handle and resolve equipment-related complaints and service calls.
• Manage the daily operations of laboratory equipment used by incubates/students, including inventory management, equipment usage scheduling, and implementation of safety protocols.
• Facilitate and train incubates/students in the proper usage of laboratory equipment.
• Understand and assess the technical needs of startups/incubates and facilitate appropriate solutions, including identifying suitable equipment and lab resources.
• Coordinate with different departments of IISER Mohali regarding laboratory/equipment requirements of incubates and connect them with relevant departments as per project needs.
• Draft and implement laboratory safety rules and ensure compliance.
• Maintain laboratory reports and equipment usage records.

Required Qualifications

Essential:

• Graduation/Post-graduation in Science/Engineering preferably with post graduation/diploma in Management
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Technical Assistant/Manager/Executive/Officer in research laboratories, quality control, or R&D in government or private institutions/industry.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience on working with the analytical equipment like HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer, GC- MS, Centrifuge, etc.

The prescribed Essential Qualification/Experience indicated are the bare minimum, and mere possession of the same would not entitle candidates to be called for written test/skill test/interview (as the case may be). The candidates should therefore furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above minimum qualifications prescribed, along with documentary evidence. The Institute also reserves the right to adopt any additional shortlisting criteria above the advertised criteria to restrict the reasonable number of candidates participating further in the recruitment process.

Age Limit: Up to 35 years

Compensation (Consolidated): Rs 40,000 – Rs. 80,000/- per month based on the experience and subject matter knowledge

Tenure: The position is initially for a period of 2 years, extendable based on performance and organizational requirements.
