Location : Pune Purpose Provide strategic leadership to enhance the university’s research excellence, innovation ecosystem, industry partnerships, research funding, commercialization, and global reputation. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the university’s research strategy aligned with institutional goals. Increase externally funded research through national and international grants. Promote high-quality publications, patents, technology transfer, and start-ups. Establish interdisciplinary research centres and Centres of Excellence. Build collaborations with industry, government, and international universities. Strengthen doctoral and postdoctoral research programmes. Ensure compliance with research ethics, integrity, intellectual property, and funding regulations. Lead research performance monitoring using KPIs and analytics. Mentor faculty in proposal development, publications, and research leadership. Support institutional rankings through research excellence. Represent the university at national and international research forums. Qualifications Ph.D. from a recognized university. Distinguished academic with at least 18–25 years of teaching and research experience. Strong publication record in indexed journals. Proven success in securing competitive research grants. Experience in academic leadership (Dean, Director, Research Head, or equivalent). Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary research initiatives.
