Microlabs, IHub-Data International Institute of Information Technology – Hyderabad (IIIT-H) Hyderabad, India Research Fellow (Genomics) position Microlab at IHub-Data, IIIT-H is hiring to fill a Research Fellow (Genomics) position. Microlabs is a multidisciplinary lab that aims to use cutting edge technologies like third generation sequencing, AI, ML, and deep learning to gain insights into the etiology of human diseases, identify early risk factors, disease biomarkers, and develop models for early prediction of diseases and their prognosis. Microlabs collaborate with hospitals, universities, and institutes to address healthcare challenges and to develop precision medicine and therapeutic interventions. Role Structure and Requirements Core duties: Nucleic acid extraction, purification and quality check, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, library preparation, executing third generation sequencing runs, and optimizing workflows. Use opportunities to learn sequencing data analysis and in collaborative labs to learn cell culture, molecular, and biochemical work and establish the learned workflows in Microlabs. Maintain SOPs and proper documentation. Routine work presentations and journal article presentations. Qualifications and Work experience: Master’s degree in molecular biology, genomics, biotechnology or related area. Or B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology. Minimum 1 year work experience with hands on experience in third generation sequencing. Duration, Salary, and Age limit: This is a temporary position for one year and can be further extended based on performance and funding. The salary is Rs 35,000 p.m. inclusive of HRA. Age limit is 30 years. Preferences: Candidates with work experience in third generation sequencing, genomics, molecular biology and data analysis will be preferred.
