Job Overview

Job Description

PanTarg is a Danish biotechnology company developing novel anti-cancer therapies in the form of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of aggressive cancers with high unmet medical need.

Our work is based on more than 30 years of research conducted at Rigshospitalet and University of Copenhagen, and our vision is to enable novel treatment options for cancer patients via a novel first-in-class approach to targeted therapy.

We are currently incubated at the BioInnovation Institute (BII), a Copenhagen-based incubation hub for biotech startups in Europe. Here, we are currently progressing through preclinical development, aiming to reach a stage of clinical testing within a few years.

The position

We are looking for a scientist to join our team on site at BII. We are primarily looking for a candidate with several years of hands-on experience, especially within immunohistochemistry (IHC) techniques and target expression analyses. The candidate will be responsible for generating and analyzing data that will be essential for several key readouts and business decisions, including safety assessments and clinical indication selection.

Qualifications

  • Primary qualification: Documented experience in histology and IHC, including target/biomarker scoring, tissue microarrays (TMA), and spatial analysis. Experience with tissue handling, sectioning, and staining is highly desirable, ideally combined with experience using digital image-analysis software such as QuPath or equivalent.
  • The optimal candidate will have obtained a PhD degree and have at least 3-5 years of experience from either pharma, biotech, or as a post doc. Robust and documented (5+ years) relevant hands-on experience without a PhD degree may also be acceptable, if the primary qualification is met.
  • Secondary qualification: Hands-on experience with in vitro biology & pharmacology in the form of mammalian cell culture, in vitro dose-response studies and characterization of drug activity, cell viability/cytotoxicity assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, and related cellular assays, will be a highly desired skillset.
  • Good scientific communications skills, and the ability to clearly and precisely present data to a professional audience.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a startup environment where flexibility and a can-do attitude is part of everyday work life.
  • Fluent in the English language, written as well as spoken.
