Hiring | Director – Research & Development 📍 Location: Bengaluru, India Looking to connect with an experienced R&D leader with a strong scientific foundation and a proven track record of translating innovation into market-ready products. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape R&D strategy, lead multidisciplinary teams and drive product development from concept to commercialisation in a regulated environment. 🔬 Key Responsibilities ▪️ Define R&D strategy, priorities and technical roadmaps ▪️ Lead end-to-end product development using structured stage-gate processes ▪️ Guide scientific teams working on antibody development, assay development and related technologies ▪️ Build and mentor high-performing scientific and technical teams ▪️ Manage project portfolios, budgets, resources, risks and timelines ▪️ Drive cross-functional collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement ▪️ Ensure adherence to applicable quality systems and regulatory requirements 🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience ▪️ PhD with 15+ years of relevant R&D experience in regulated industries ▪️ At least 5 years in leadership roles ▪️ Background in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline ▪️ Demonstrated expertise in antibody development, ideally complemented by assay development ▪️ Proven track record of taking products from development through commercialisation ▪️ Working knowledge of relevant quality and regulatory frameworks, including FDA, ISO and GMP ▪️ Experience leading multidisciplinary and matrix teams ▪️ Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, stakeholder-management and communication skills 🌐 Additional Requirements ▪️ Relevant professional certifications are an advantage ▪️ Proficiency in English; additional languages are beneficial ▪️ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25% Interested, or know someone who could be a good fit?
