We’re hiring: Manager – Bioinformatics at Sravathi AI, Bangalore 🧬 Sravathi AI is a leading AI-driven research company, bringing together AI/ML, Bioinformatics, Chemistry and Drug Discovery. Our mission is to accelerate AI-powered innovation to improve health outcomes and quality of life globally. We’re looking for a hands-on scientific leader to run bioinformatics across our drug discovery programs, take projects from concept to delivery, and build a high-performing team of computational scientists. What you’ll do 🔬 Lead bioinformatics activities, set computational strategy and review scientific quality 📊 Plan and manage multiple projects, from prioritisation and resourcing to risk and delivery 👥 Mentor and develop a team of computational scientists 🤝 Partner with Chemistry, Biology, Bioinformatics and AI/ML teams to turn results into actionable recommendations ✅ Uphold scientific rigor, data integrity and responsible use of AI/ML What we’re looking for ✔️ PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, Molecular Modeling, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Physics or a related field ✔️ 8–12 years of industrial R&D experience in bioinformatics or computational drug discovery ✔️ Proven experience leading scientific teams and multidisciplinary projects ✔️ Strong programming skills, with Python preferred Technical expertise (several of these) ▪️ Structure-Based Drug Design: protein structure modelling, docking, binding-site characterization, protein–ligand interactions, hit identification and lead optimization ▪️ Ligand-Based Drug Design and SAR: descriptors, pharmacophore modelling, QSAR, data-driven design ▪️ Advanced simulations: MD, enhanced sampling, binding free-energy calculations (FEP/TI, metadynamics, umbrella sampling), plus DFT and QM/MM ▪️ Computational molecular design: driving DMTA cycles across hit identification, hit-to-lead and lead optimization ▪️ AI/ML applications in drug discovery and property prediction Who will thrive here Someone with deep technical judgment, a coaching mindset, and the ability to balance hands-on work with delegation.
