Job Description

We are currently looking for an ‘Scientist I in Research & Development who will be primarily responsible for the Conjugation, purification and characterization of flowcytometry assays.

This position reports to the < Senior Scientist/ Staff Scientist/ Manager, Development Science > and is part of the R&D team located in Bangalore North facility and will be an on-site role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn:

  • Preparative or Analytical chromatography
  • advanced laboratory measurement systems are desired (AKTA, HPLC, Spectrophotometer, Protein estimation techniques, FRET analysis
  • Work on various analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GPC, UV-Vis, Fluorescence.

The essential requirements of the job include:

M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life science degree with minimum 5+ years of work experience preferably in Biotechnology research and Flowcytometry method development/R&D lab either in CROs/APIs or in academic research institutions. Experience in characterization of Hands on Experience with various modes of Preparative or Analytical chromatography (Affinity, IEC, MMC, SEC) and advanced laboratory measurement systems are desired (AKTA, HPLC, Spectrophotometer, Protein estimation techniques, FRET analysis). Core expertise in protein biochemistry, such as bio-conjugation chemistry, exposure to Tandem chemistry, Chromatography techniques, Hands on experience on protein purification techniques Basic knowledge of Flow cytometry or other assay development techniques would be an added advantage. Good laboratory practices- record notebook maintenance.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: NO Travel is expected for this role. This would be a fully on-site role

Ability to lift/move or carry equipment/solvents/buffers of 10-15 Liter/10-15 Kg capacity.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Bio-conjugation chemistry,
  • Exposure to Tandem chemistry,
  • Chromatography techniques
  • Knowledge and experience in synthesis, characterization of Organic dyes and Photochemistry of Dyes.
