Job Description
The Global Connect Fellowship (GCF) is a prestigious and exciting opportunity for young scholars from around the world to spend two – three months undertaking research under the mentorship of world leading faculty, on NTU’s vibrant, international, state-of-the-art campus. GCF attracts the best and brightest bachelor’s and master’s degree students. We welcome students with a keen research interest from all disciplines to join us as Global Connect Fellows.
As a Global Research Fellow, you will take part in cutting-edge research carried out at NTU Singapore, a world-leading research-intensive public university. Our faculty and researchers are some of the world’s most accomplished scientists, addressing humanity’s grand challenges and researching on AI, Material Science, Smart Manufacturing, Digital Economy, Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, Sustainability, 3D Printing, Health Sciences, Fintech, Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Green Finance, Leadership, Digital Economy, Climate Change, Smart Cities & Urbanisation, International Relations, Security & Diplomacy, Entrepreneurship, Education, Media, Design & Communications and more.

2026 Spring Intake
Bachelor/Master students graduating in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for GCF Spring Intake starting on 1 Feb 2026. The Fellowship will be for 2 months. All applicants will be informed of the result of their application by end Dec 2025.

Admissions requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s students graduating in 2026 or 2027 preferably in STEM
- Strong Interest in pursing research and PhD at NTU
- Good GPA

Students will need the following to apply:

2. Academic qualifications (e.g. college/university education, period of study, qualifications obtained, etc)
3. Soft copy of your photo
4. Soft copy of your latest official transcripts (in English)
5. Soft copy of your passport
6. Academic Referee Letters (Optional)
7. Statement of Purpose
8. 2-3 minute video explaining your motivation to apply for the programme
Certification & Exiting the Programme
- Students who complete the programme to the satisfaction of their supervisor will receive a certificate.
- If a student prematurely terminates or fails to complete the programme for any reason whatsoever no certificate will be issued.
- Issuing of the certificate is subject to meeting all the criteria set by the university including but not limited to good progress on research, meeting the objective of the project, submitting all progress reports, attending in masterclasses, demonstrating good conduct, etc.
Accommodation
On-campus accommodation will be provided on twin sharing basis.
