Job Description

I’m partnering with a growing biotech developing next-generation RNA therapeutics and am looking to connect with a Translational Director to lead programs from discovery through IND-enabling development.

The opportunity:
You’ll drive the translational strategy for a portfolio of RNA-based therapies, leading in vivo and preclinical development, biomarker strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with discovery, regulatory, and clinical teams.

What you’ll do:
• Lead translational and preclinical strategy across multiple RNA programs
• Oversee design, execution, and interpretation of preclinical studies (efficacy, safety, biodistribution, PK/PD)
• Develop and validate translational biomarkers for target engagement and mechanistic insights
• Shape regulatory data packages to support IND submissions and early clinical studies
• Build and guide cross-functional project teams and external CRO partnerships

What we’re looking for:
• PhD (or equivalent) in Immunology, Pharmacology, or related discipline
• 10+ years in preclinical or translational R&D (biotech or pharma)
• Proven leadership in RNA, oligonucleotide, or delivery platform development (e.g. LNPs, viral vectors)
• Strong grasp of IND-enabling processes and translational modelling
• Collaborative leader, capable of bridging discovery and clinical development
