Hiring: Lead Scientist – Electrochemical Biosensor Development

We are looking for an experienced Lead Scientist – Electrochemical Biosensor Development to drive innovation in next-generation diagnostic technologies. This role focuses on developing high-performance electrochemical biosensors for critical blood chemistry analytes including sodium (Na⁺), potassium (K⁺), glucose, creatinine, and key kidney and liver markers.

🔬 Role Overview

In this position, you will lead the design and development of advanced electrochemical sensors, working at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and biomedical engineering. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across electronics, microfluidics, and biochemistry to translate lab-scale innovations into scalable diagnostic products.

💡 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrochemical sensors such as ion-selective electrodes (ISEs), enzymatic sensors, and mediator-based systems

• Optimize ion-selective membranes, enzyme chemistries, redox mediators, and solid-contact layers for enhanced performance

• Develop electrode architectures using screen printing, thin-film deposition, and nanomaterial coatings

• Perform analytical characterization using CV, DPV, SWV, EIS, chronoamperometry, and potentiometry

• Lead stability studies (drift, hysteresis, temperature, humidity, shelf life)

• Support integration into microfluidic cartridges and ensure robust IVD validation

🎯 Qualifications & Skills

• PhD or master’s in chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field

• Strong expertise in electrochemical sensor design, electrode materials, and characterization techniques

• Experience in diagnostic device development and microfluidic integration is highly desirable

• Proven ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
